This was an office in desperate need of organizing and revitalizing. I was on a tight budget. I had to do this with only $270 (not including labor).
We changed the floor plan to accomodate guests, allow the user to see the comings and goings through her door, and her only little area that visitors couldn't invade. This user also had terrible lighting.
My budget was spent on a cute little table to eat at, plants, some work boards, mirrors and lighting. A few usable desk ornaments were also added.
The result? A cozy home-like office that had functionality. It was no longer just a place to throw papers and work. She can entertain visitors and have her morning coffee discussing the previous evenings events with a friend or coworker.
We even had a little nook for her tween daughters to do homework.
